J Adams

The J. Adams is architectural detail made tangible. On the Aether Grey base, a refined white shading has been applied with precision. It is not a striking effect, but a subtle complexity that reveals its true, crafted character only close up. A brick that does not shout, but whispers of craftsmanship.

Production process: Eco-smoked. Firing and smoking combined in a single firing cycle in a low-oxygen atmosphere. Lower gas consumption.

Forming method: According to the waterstruck principle, in which the clay is pressed into a mould and released using water alone.

Clay composition: 100% refractory kaolinitic-illitic Westerwald clay of Mesozoic age, highly mineralised, compact and exceptionally pure.

Colour: Aether Grey with refined white shading, a beige-sand tone with white accents

Mineral engobe: Applied before firing; a subtle white shading that reveals its full character close up

Appearance: Nuanced, with a subtle two-tone character; not striking, but unmistakable close up

Surface texture: Characteristic waterstruck structure with fine linear markings; the water used as a release agent remains visible in the surface

Finish: Matt
