Luisa

Production process: Fired in an oxidising atmosphere, not smoked. The colour is the direct result of the clay composition and the firing temperature.

Forming method: According to the waterstruck principle, in which the clay is pressed into a mould and released using water alone.

Clay composition: 100% refractory kaolinitic-illitic Westerwald clay of Mesozoic age, highly mineralised, compact and exceptionally pure.

Colour: Nuanced white; pure Westerwald clay, with the colour determined entirely by the clay composition and the firing temperature

Appearance: Light, warm white; honest and pure in character

Surface texture: Characteristic waterstruck structure with fine linear markings; the water used as a release agent remains visible in the surface

Finish: Matt
