Grey bricks, from light grey to anthracite

A brick does not have to be red. Our grey facing bricks run from pale, light grey to deep anthracite, in several lengths and textures. Smoking changes the colour of natural clay and creates new shades, from cool blue-greys to warmer tones. Combine them in your own colour pattern and create a façade with lasting architectural expression.

Grey bricks, smoked at our brickworks

As a third-generation brickmaker, we control every step of production. That lets us vary colour, texture and format almost endlessly. We test the technical properties of every brick and study how the temperature and duration of smoking change the colour, and we keep working to make production more sustainable.

The result is a dense brick with low water absorption and high compressive strength, so the façade stays clean for longer. Our bricks last more than 100 years, are colourfast and need little maintenance.

How do grey bricks work in your design?

You can choose from more than 65 different blends. A contemporary façade in cool greys with hints of blue or green? Or warmer tones from reddish brown to anthracite? Our smoked bricks can carry almost any mood you have in mind. In our configurator you can test colours and textures, bond, joint and format on your own façade. If the shade you need is not in the range, we can make a custom brick for your project.
