H Wallace

Production process: Eco-smoked. Firing and smoking combined in a single firing cycle in a low-oxygen atmosphere. Lower gas consumption.

Forming method: According to the waterstruck principle, in which the clay is pressed into a mould and released using water alone.

Clay composition: 100% refractory kaolinitic-illitic Westerwald clay of Mesozoic age, highly mineralised, compact and exceptionally pure.

Colour: Light grey, smoked over a white base

Appearance: Nuanced light grey with the characteristic depth of smoking; the slender proportion gives a fine horizontal rhythm

Surface texture: Characteristic waterstruck structure with fine linear markings; the slender proportion accentuates the horizontal lines; the water used as a release agent remains visible in the surface
