MacMillan
The MacMillan has the dark soul of Obsidian, veiled in a delicate white mist. Like a soft cloud drifting across a volcanic landscape, the engobe breaks the deep, dark colour and lends it a poetic softness. The result is a façade that is both powerful and dreamlike, a play of shadow with a breath of light.
Production
Production process: Eco-smoked. Firing and smoking combined in a single firing cycle in a low-oxygen atmosphere. Lower gas consumption.
Forming method: According to the waterstruck principle, in which the clay is pressed into a mould and released using water alone.
Clay composition
Clay composition: 100% refractory kaolinitic-illitic Westerwald clay of Mesozoic age, blended with iron-rich clay to give its characteristic depth of colour.
