Rutherford

Production process: Eco-smoked. Firing and smoking combined in a single firing cycle in a low-oxygen atmosphere. Lower gas consumption.

Forming method: According to the waterstruck principle, in which the clay is pressed into a mould and released using water alone.

Clay composition: 100% refractory kaolinitic-illitic Westerwald clay of Mesozoic age, blended with iron-rich clay to give its characteristic depth of colour.

Colour: Aether Grey, the same elemental colour as the Franklin, given a new dimension by the slimmer format

Appearance: A study in finesse; subtle texture and an elegantly layered façade. Restrained architectural poise.

Surface texture: Characteristic waterstruck structure with fine linear markings; the slender proportion accentuates the horizontal lines; the water used as a release agent remains visible in the surface

Finish: Matt
