New colours in our Hilversum collection: more freedom for architecture

James, Joe, JohnJohn, Jasper, Jorvik, Jacques and Jean: we are pleased to introduce seven new colours in the Hilversum format. With these we are answering a wish from architects and clients, to combine the characteristic Hilversum balance between rhythm and calm with an even broader palette of colours.

The Hilversum format and the power of proportion

Architecture is about exploring boundaries. Between proportions, between the timeless and the trend-breaking, between the familiar and the daring. The Hilversum format offers plenty of options worth exploring in that respect. More than that: thanks to its slender lines, this format is gaining ground in high-end architecture as never before.

Are you drawn to:

Seven new colours, many new possibilities
  • A horizontal, graceful play of lines?
  • A calm façade, thanks to a more subtle presence of vertical joints?
  • A format that can evoke refinement and finesse as much as minimalism and restraint?
  • A material that allows extra creative freedom in pointing, the play of shadow, texture and relief?
  • And that suits traditional, contemporary and modern façade concepts alike?

Then we recommend taking a look at our façade brick collections.

Seven new colours, many new possibilities

At Joseph Bricks, the creative effect of the Hilversum format now gains an extra layer. With seven new colours added to the existing collection, architects can begin experimenting freely with colour nuances and combinations that have not been explored before.

These visual qualities come with the physical properties you expect from Joseph Bricks:

  • Very low porosity, and therefore a reduced risk of efflorescence, discolouration and moss growth
  • A more durable façade, thanks to a greatly slowed ageing process
  • Faultless technical workability

Our three-part view of architecture

This extension of our Hilversum collection fits our broader view, in which considered architecture, refined aesthetics and lasting durability always go hand in hand.

The intended result? A façade that serves the person who will live with it, because a façade brick should not only impress today but keep its expression for decades.

For architects, the emphasis is on added creative freedom. They get the chance to bring genuinely new designs into the world.
